Happy Father's Day to all you pops out there.
Dick was Thursday's program coordinator. He welcomed Nicole Lanahan, President of "Got Your Six Support Dogs" organization. You can imagine that the program went to the dogs. The video is posted.
Allen, Lori and Mark 3 represented the early birds. Brad 2, Matt, Mark 2 and Rod made it by bell time.
Opening duties were provided by Roger, Paul and "Amen" Bill.
The buffet featured roast beef au jus, peas, boiled taters, salad and cake.
Can someone explain to Brad 2 the difference between a pea and one that is split?
Mark 3 has shown Allen the joys of spending lots of $$ on eBay. Allen's baseball card collection is growing very quickly. Slippery slope!

It was nice to see Patty back in the house.
Roger seems to strutting about the room. I wonder why?
Who will be here next week for Joe's latest "fireside chat"? It won't be Sherry, Sandy, Rick, or...

Lori reported that our Mania net is now north of $1000. Keep selling!
It's last call for signing up for the Installation Dinner on the 30th. Sherry is ready to roll.
It seems Allen won't be at the Installation Dinner for the first time in just about forever. Pam bought him tickets to the Cardinal game, and he MUST go. We hope that Bill doesn't find out.
Sherry is finalizing the details for our inbound exchange student from Chile. We are splitting expenses with the Wood River club. The student will spend the year with Debbie Kreutztrager.
Roger reminded everyone that there will be a board meeting following next week's meeting.
Bill solicited Colonel Dave to assist with bailiff duties. Dave was complimented for his opening duties "hat trick" at the previous weeks meeting. Trivia topics included roller coaster, women in space (not spacey women), Bob Dylan, Red Sox, Lou Brock and the palindrome syndrome.
Mark 1, being a man of his honor, paid his lost wager about spying.
Congrats to Rhonda on her marriage today (Saturday) in Gordon Moore Park. Bill is officiating, your thoughts? On either topic?
Don't forget the tip box for Karen.
The 50-50 jackpot tickets went to Molly and Rick. Patty had a chance to scratch. The $96 jackpot rolled.
That's all from here. Have a fine and dry weekend.

Rotary Youth Exchange has touched my entire family
The author, far right, and her daughter with a former Rotary Youth Exchange student from Chile.
By Linda Mulhern, a member of the Rotary Club of St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
When you become a Rotary Youth Exchange student, you never imagine how it might affect you in the long term. In my case, my exchange has connected my family in more ways than one.
As a Youth Exchange student to Sweden in 1979-80, I learned a lot about what I was capable of doing on my own, my strengths and weaknesses, and what it took to overcome obstacles. I had an incredible year in Sweden, and still speak Swedish fluently. I have contacts with many friends and communicate regularly with my host parents and host sisters.
After my exchange, I met my husband in ROTEX, a group for Rotary Youth Exchange alumni. He had been a Youth Exchange student to Argentina, and we bonded over travel stories. Once we had kids, I knew our experiences might inspire them to travel. To read more, link herehttp://tinyurl.com/z592tnd
