LAURA'S 1ST 50-50-NO JOKER FOR HER
Joe provided an update of some of the things happening around the village. Eastgate continues to impress. Mr. Pancho's is expanding. The hockey facility will be adding a school for up to 36 students. A shared workspace will be opening soon. Madison County Transit will be constructing a passenger facility on an outlot near Atlantis Pools. If AMC does not renew their theater lease Todd Kennedy plans to take over and continue to offer an affordable movie experience. Our township officials thanked Joe for taking care of the "Franklin cover up". The current non-local owners of the two Wilshire shopping plazas have zero interest in trying to develop the properties. Joe will sell you the Citizens building for $1, and he will supply the buck.
It was nice to see Virgil, Rhonda, Sandy and Randy. Now Lori's gone missing. Paul is officially MIA.
Birthday kisses from Bill have been suspended.
Our club will celebrate its 50th anniversary in October 2021. Your thoughts on what to do??
The 21 members in the house represented our best attendance since January 23rd. Early arrivals included Allen, Virgil, Darren and Bill. Last in included Sandy, Sherry, Bill and MarkV.

Pork 'n rice was our Thursday entree. Accompanied by whipped taters w/ gravy, mixed and maxed veggies, rolls, salad, cookies and pudding.

Contrary to its name, Two Ocean Lake does not drain into two oceans. That trait is unique to Isa Lake in Yellowstone National Park in the northwest corner of Wyoming. At an elevation of 8,262 feet, Isa sits at the top of the continental divide, so high that it sometimes overflows with snowmelt in the spring, forcing the lake to drain in two directions. In one direction, water flows to the Firehole River in the west and then zigzags, eventually ending up in the Atlantic Ocean via the Mississippi Delta. In the other, water from the east passes into Shoshone Lake, then zigzags west via the Columbia and Snake Rivers, at last arriving in the Pacific Ocean.

PEACE FELLOW MAKES FILMS TO HEIGHTENUNDERSTANDING

When I was six years old, my Japanese father and American mother took me to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial in Hawaii. When I saw the wreckage of the USS Arizona, I was shocked to learn that the two countries that I belonged to had once been at war with each other.
Later in 2001, I was a fourth-year film student at New York University when the 11 September terrorist attacks occured. While I was not in NYC at the time, the events of that day forever changed me. I made a commitment to myself to do whatever I could to use media to create a more just and peaceful world. This led me to pursue a Rotary Peace Fellowship at International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan, where I focused my thesis on the role media plays in peace building.
When I returned to Japan for the fellowship, 11 years had passed since I had left the country as a child. Now an adult and no longer protected by the bubble of the international school community, I had to confront my half-Japanese identity head on. Because of my mixed-race background, I was often treated as a foreigner despite having a Japanese passport. With every new encounter, I had to explain why I had a Japanese name and spoke Japanese without an accent.
