Thursday's program presenter was Illinois State Senator Erica Harriss. She was accompanied by two summer interns. Erica is a small business owner who got her first taste of politics when she was elected to the MadCo Board in 2016. Her mantra is centered on listening to her constituents. Senate District 56 has about 87,000 households. During the recently completed legislative session 456 bills were birthed. She sponsored seven of them. She went on to list several areas where her office can offer assistance, your neighbor's barking dog is not one of them. Congrats to PatB and PattiA for their 45 and 25 respective years of club service.
LoriP reminded everyone that it's last call if you plan to attend the Installation Dinner. She also invited everyone to the EA Zip Code day event later on Thursday.
Post-nooners included GeorgeM, SandyS, PaulH and JohnP.
The Slide Right In (SRI) buffet crowd included WendellR, MarkV, PattiA, JohnP and PaulH.
The annual Cards vs Cubs Rotary District literacy fund-raising ball game is July 13th. Ticket info is available on the district web site.
There's no truth to the rumor that BillP is snakebit.
After 27 years of club service LeonardB announced that he will be transferring to the A-G club where, he claims, he will pay more to get less. We wish him well.
Birthday greetings go out to GeorgeM, tomorrow, SandyS July 2 and AllenH July 4.
WendellR returned from Columbia with five fresh root canals. Ouch!
Opening duties were aptly handled by KendraG, SandyS and MarkV.
19 members dined on sliced pork loin in BBQ sauce, cheezy taters, rolls, salad and a sundae bar.
PattiA and LeonardB tried to locate the joker and claim the $45 jackpot. No luck there. LoriP won the scratchie.

I was born in St Louis and have lived in the Metro Area most of my life outside of the 4 years after high school spent in Southeast MO.
I have been in insurance now for 19 years, after originally starting out in 2005 with MetLife strictly as a life insurance agent & Registered Investment Advisor.
I have now been married for over 28 years to Jackie after being friends with her back in school. We have 2 sons, Jacob 25 and Kaleb 20.
For fun we like to take Harley & Jeep rides. We also enjoy hiking, checking out new places & restaurants and I love sports. Especially baseball which I have coached through the park & rec departments as well as for the Jr Oilers. I have been heavily involved in Scouting as a Scoutmaster; both of my sons are Eagle Scouts.
