• LindseyH provided our Thursday program. Her presentation was very enthusiastic and informative. She is a native of Belleville, graduate of SIUE, has two fine children and has served as the Wood River Library Director for almost six years. She LOVES her job, and it shows. The library dates to 1922 with the current location on Ferguson being its fourth. Lindsey is excited about the opportunity to provide expanded library related services to both elementary and junior high school students in the community. She explained that the library has "So much more" going on than you might expect and that it's a "Hidden gem of your community". she concluded  with "There's a lot going on!" Check it out.

• Is it too late to thank our merger team? Nah. They did a fine job of dotting the I's and crossing the T's of all that's involved with club's merging. Well done to previous Prez's Lindsey and Chris, MarkS, RobinK, LoriP, JohnP, SherryT and SandyS.
• CherylM sent regrets, she was involved in distributing food bank supplies.
• As you can see on our masthead above, we need a name for our newsletter. The “Rotary Make-Up” and “Rotary Banner”  titles have served us well for many decades. It’s time to put those to rest and chose a new name that will serve our new club moving forward. Any suggestions? Send them to RickH. At some point in the future he will compile a short list of names and everyone will have the opportunity to cast a vote.
• It looks like the Cash Raffle event began in 2012 and the Emery/Stewart scholarship awards amount was increased to $750 in 2013.
• A pair of "Marked" men reported fine weather from their Florida snow bird casa's.
• We have established a Venmo account to accept payments. Add it to your contacts @RiverbendEast-RotaryClub. It may come in handy for fine remittance.
• BarbO gave a shout out to her grandson for being recognized as a primo 911 dispatcher.
• Happy Rotary anniversary to JeanK, 12 years.

• If you are scheduling a speaker for a zoom meeting please request that they join us at noon for their presentation. They will have the first 20 minutes, or so, of our meeting. Please provide their name and presentation topic to LoriP for listing on our web site.

• RhondaB encourages everyone to start sharing info about our Music Trivia night via all your social network contacts. There is no limit to how many participants we have that evening.
•  RickH is now in the process of scanning and archiving the “Make-Up” newsletters from 1986 to 2020. The project will wrap up this coming week. They can be accessed via the “documents” link on our web site. If you have earlier Make-Up issues or other documents from the former Wood River club that are worth saving/sharing let Rick know. The first file issue was dated July 7, 1986.
• DonnaK is gathering scholarship information from our two high schools.
• There are plans afoot to hold a virtual RYLA event on April 17th.
• RhondaB's saving $$ by not going out.
• Still seeking the answer-Who was the first female Wood River Rotarian? Was it Donna Moggio, Beth Mattson or Stacy Hendricks?
• RhondaB has our $1000 local merchant gift cards properly divided and has some additional $$ to purchase additional ones for the trivia event/auction.
• MarkS had a make-up from the College Park (FL) club. He will be meeting with a club rep to gather information about their "Imagination Library" program that has 500 students enrolled.
• Rhonda is developing a way to use our Facebook page to auction off our gift cards and baskets in conjunction with our music trivia event in March.  Don’t forget that DJBigPapaG (find him on Facebook with that handle) provides free music bingo opportunities every Wednesday evening @ 6. Join him so that you can tell folks how our event will roll. You can play using either Facebook or Zoom.
• Our region has moved to Phase 4 for Covid mitigation. A return to Julia's is on the horizon. It mostly depends on the business reopening.

• Music Trivia round sponsorship are almost maxed out. JeanK has at least 16 as of Thursday. If she does not have your graphic ad info, please send it to her.
• LindseyH and her team are busy pulling together the details for our virtual Color Run the weekend of June 4th. Flyers are ready. She is putting together the finishing touches on the Blue Sombrero based registration program. $100 gets you a t-shirt sponsorship. $500 gets you the racer bib sponsorship. $35 is the racer entry fee.
• The Queen of Aces jackpot is now @ $21 after 16 cards were pulled on Thursday. The full deck will now be reshuffled.
