KSDK and PREMION Sales Manager Aaron Hooks presented Thursday's program. He pointed out that this is the 75th anniversary of Channel 5. It's the second oldest TV station west of the Mississippi. He used a slide presentation to show us the the many different avenues available to anyone wanting to spend dollars on advertising. He advised us that the death of TV advertising is a bit premature, but it is a changing environment. We are all presented with a lot of "screen" options in our daily lives. Matching our potential purchasing interests with the correct advertiser is the secret sauce to keeping the ad dollars flowing.

There's a lot of unseen work required to make sure that all the required information is gathered and organized. We also want to thank others who have helped with interviews and SherryT and MarkSm who have/will be making the 2022 presentations at our two high school's senior awards programs.
We welcomed three RHS scholarship students along with our RYLA twins on Thursday. Each student had a moment at the podium to tell us about their future plans and RYLA experiences, respectively. They all appreciated our support efforts.

Which U.S. national park is 95% underwater?
Biscayne
Acadia
Great Basin
Hot Springs
Located just a few minutes from downtown Miami, Biscayne National Park covers 173,000 acres — 95% of which is underwater. The stunning aquatic landscape of the park includes a swath of mangrove forest, a chunk of the world's third-largest coral reef, and Biscayne Bay itself. More than 500 native fish species call the park home, as do pelicans, sea turtles, and Florida's official state marine mammal, the manatee. On the little land in the park, visitors can check out campgrounds, picnic areas, hiking trails, historic stilted homes, and the Boca Chita lighthouse. The park's Maritime Heritage Trail features several shipwrecks and is popular with snorkelers and scuba divers.

When you create training plans for officers or other members, you can include a variety of tools. The Learning Center, which is flexible and accessible, can be a useful part of any plan. Here are five reasons to use Learning Center content in your training plans:
It’s customized for you. In the Learning Center, you’ll see the courses and learning topics that are the most relevant to you, based on the browser language you chose and your zone, district, and role.
You can customize it even more. You can create favorites lists of the courses and materials that you use most and hide materials that you don’t need. Districts and zones can also decide which courses to use and group them into learning plans. Contact us to customize a learning plan for your district.
It has the most up-to-date information. Our courses are revised regularly to reflect our current practices and recommendations, and it’s easy to find out if they’ve been updated: If they have, a note in the description will usually say when that happened. Also, the Rotary Learning Center Courses list includes direct course links that will work with any My Rotary sign-in. It’s updated four times a year and notes when courses have been revised.
You can track people’s progress. Visit the My Activities page from the user menu to monitor your own progress. You can also check global, zone, and district leaderboards on the My Dashboard page. Governors, district trainers, district membership chairs, and district Rotary Foundation chairs can track the courses and learning plans that members have completed by asking for permission to review them and completing the Access to Learning Center Reports course.
It improves the Rotary experience. Members who have used the Learning Center report greater satisfaction with their ability to develop leadership skills.
Review our recent webinar for more ideas about how to use the Learning Center and customize it for your district’s needs.
