Prez Chris was the first to pass JJ's barn doors. He was quickly followed by Dick and MarkS.
It looked like Wendell was ready for an early afternoon umbrella drink party.
Joe was reported dining at Mr. Pancho's. What, the pick two for $8 @ JJ's isn't good enough?
Prez Chris had to explain just what the slogan "bringing back the gate" on the servers shirt meant.
Paul and MarkV were the last in the room, after "gate keeper" MarkS had already slid the doors (almost) closed.
BradP had a great week in Florida. The return 15 hour drive with three young grand kids, a bit less than stellar.
Is this the weekend when Paul heads to Nashville to see the new grand baby?

Emily spent a few minutes outlining the district's plan to resume education later this month. It will be in person, with a quarter by quarter opt out for remote learning. It sounds solid.

Our program presenter was Confluence Tower Manager Emily Taul. The Tower had finally opened in May of 2010.
Bethalto's "Cousin Jeff" was on hand to peddle raffle tickets for a cruise.
Lori loved Chef Bob's catfish fritters. Joe? not so much.
Joe proudly announced that he was a grandpa!
Program of the Year ballots were distributed.

Important updates about Rotary Youth Exchange in 2020-21
The RI Board of Directors made an important decision about Rotary Youth Exchange in 2020-21 after reviewing a thorough risk assessment and carefully considering COVID-19 conditions around the world.
Although COVID-19 still causes uncertainty globally, especially because of the risk of infection, changing international travel restrictions, and school delays and closures, some regions may be able to host exchanges safely later this Rotary year. Where districts decide it is safe, short-term exchanges can resume in October 2020 and long-term exchanges can resume in January 2021, provided districts implement specific safety requirements outlined in the RI Board’s April decision.
After reviewing the requirements, is up to districts to determine whether they can proceed with Rotary Youth Exchange programs in accordance with the new safety guidelines. If your district is concerned, the best option may be to suspend the program temporarily and consider other ways to engage young people this year, such as facilitating virtual exchanges or getting students involved with Interact or RYLA. If your district is considering moving forward with the program, it will be important to consider the risks, create a comprehensive crisis management plan, and have volunteers who can commit more time to communicating with students and families, monitoring recommendations from health authorities, and acting quickly if the situation changes.
