Prez Lindsey is requesting nominations for a Prez-Elect to serve during the 22-23 Rotary year and club prez during the 23-24 year.
Any Wordle players out there? WendellR is hoping for a three letter version.
Prez Lindsey announced that our June 4th Color Run @ Belk will soon be seeking sponsors.

JoeS returned from Florida with plenty of "helpful" suggestions for the Parking Spot garages @ Lambert. In a similar vein, WendellR has the answers to all your airport parking questions.
If you are a Paul Harris Fellow plan to stay a few minutes after the February 3rd meeting to discuss just how we will be selecting future PH fellows. LeonardB we lead the discussion.

SAA LeonardB collected a few $ by challenging AllenH with baseball and Milliken questions.

Although it’s only the 21st-largest state in the U.S. by land area, Georgia’s 57,919 square miles are good enough for the title of largest state east of the Mississippi River by land area. When considering total area (not just land area), however, Michigan would outrank Georgia. But most of the state’s area is water (about 40,000 of its 96,810 square miles). Georgia, on the other hand, has only 1,522 square miles of water.

WR Prez JohnP announced that the board is considering a change in meeting day/time.
BradP provided an internet web site orientation session at the EA meeting. (That sounds familiar.)
The WR club welcomed EA-WR HS Junior Rotarians Jordan Yenne and Kate Booten.
RhondaB requested all EA members share the Disco Bingo event flyer via their social media contacts.
PaulG paid a Happy Fine at the WR meeting.
BradL introduced his guest, retired Army vet Earl at the EA meeting. They were off to Peoria after the meeting.
JeanK was collecting pre-packaged snacks at the WR meeting that would be distributed by the WR police to needy local residents.
EA Prez PattyW open the meeting with a very quiet ring of the bell.
LindseyH, AlanaY and CherylM continued to make plans for the Color Run on June 1st.
Work on Eastgate Plaza continued with an announcement that a Applebee's type restaurant (JJ Thermo's) would be added to the tenant mix.
WR Vice-P BarbO planned to attend the PETS training in Itasca, IL in early March.
JoeS, DarrenC, and PaulH missed on the opportunity to find the 50-50 joker at the EA meeting.

Creating relationships beyond the club experience

Before I joined Rotary, I had only heard of it by name. I didn’t know anything more. Then one of the assistants at my university asked if I’d want to join their club. He noticed how active I was at university and with several nongovernmental organizations, and he thought Rotaract would be a great fit for me. I’m really grateful he did, because that created a whole new part of my life. That was almost four years ago now.
One of the things I love about Rotaract and about our Rotary community in my city is that we work together a lot. We have meetings at the same time as our Rotary club, in rooms next to each other. We have great communication, collaborate often, and several times a year members of our Rotary club come to our meetings to give us lectures on subjects like investing, business, economy, and art.
One of my favorite things about Rotary is the incredible projects Rotary does every day worldwide. Locally our club helps at an animal shelter, donates sweets to kids during the holidays and placed distance markers in front of major institutions in Banja Luka during COVID. Internationally, we donate funds for building wells in Africa and to Move for GECAF (Give Every Child a Future) by Rotaract Oceania. Another of my favorite things is the amazing people in Rotary and Rotaract whom I wouldn’t have the chance to meet any other way. I’ve met students and professionals in business, medicine, economics, art, music, fashion, diplomacy, and many other areas.
This past September, at Global Citizen Live in Paris, I was part of a “social squad” put together by Rotary International President-elect Jennifer Jones. The idea was for our group of four – Mona Mousa, Pauline Amiel, Hanh Minh and me – to take over Rotary’s Instagram Stories so we could showcase Rotary’s involvement in global events.
