SPEAKER Bob Jokela, Superintendent of Fitchburg Public Schools
Grew up in Fitchburg, born and raised. Transitioned from years in the business world into social services and then academia. Fitchburg is going through a lot of changes, trying to grow and adapt to an ever changing economy. Bob has been working with school committees and teachers to identify and address the needs of the cities schools. In the process of investigating options to consolidate and combine Crocker and Longsjo. Received $3.5 million increase in budget and consider it a Godsend. Fitchburg is investing in programs and resources to help kids succeed.
