Update on "Dinner on Us". We launched about 4 weeks ago and as of this email we have received $7,180 in donations. That is 17% of our total goal. Please continue to like, comment and share on social media posts. I am looking for volunteers to hang out at The Gardener's Spot this weekend to promote and sell! Please text me if you are available to help out at all!

Facebook Live Event on 11/1! I am going to go live on Facebook on 11/1 to announce the winners of Dinner On Us. The computer algorithm will automatically draw the winners at 11:59pm on 10/31 so we will be able to announce them the following day. I was thinking of doing like a "pub crawl" to several of the downtown participants and revealing a winner at each one! PLEASE JOIN ME!

Melissa Bowman is the Executive Director of the Vanessa T. Marcotte Foundation.
On a summer afternoon in 2016, Vanessa Marcotte left her family home to go for a short walk. She was tragically killed by an act of violence.
More than 600 women are assaulted each day. We need to fight back. We need to step up. We need to advocate for a world where women are safe and free to live boldly and fearlessly.
Vanessa’s senseless death fuels our need to speak out and to help others. We are making great strides. We’re achieving our goals by partnering with organizations that provide educational programs and mentorship opportunities to promote female empowerment and gender equality. We believe these efforts will ultimately help reduce violence against women in our society. We are just getting started! By joining this important cause, we can work together to make a difference. And we know that Vanessa would want us to do so.
