President's Message: Michael Caslin
My fellow Rotarians and Guests,

On this date (August 5th) in 1884, the cornerstone for the Statue of Liberty is laid on Bedloe’s Island.  Originally conceived as an emblem of the friendship between the people of France and the U.S. and a sign of their mutual desire for liberty.  Over the years the Statue has become much more.  As millions of immigrants found themselves welcomed to America by the Statue of Liberty, it stands as a universal symbol of freedomPresident Grover Cleveland, accepting the Statue of Liberty on behalf of the U.S., said "We will not forget that Liberty has here made her home; nor shall her chosen altar be neglected.  We are the cornerstone of our rotary club as each of you stand for service above self and I’m honored to stand among you.

To our guests, we invite you to join us in fellowship and service.  Please feel free to attend an upcoming meeting to learn more about Rotary.

Yours in Service,
Michael
