Inspiration:
Train your mind to see the good in everything.  Positivity is a choice.  The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.  Lucille Ball
One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn’t pay to get discouraged.  Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself.

President's Message: Michael Caslin
My fellow Rotarians,

On this date in 1621, Myles Standish is elected as the first commander of the Plymouth Colony and remained in that position for the remainder of his life.  Standish was one of the signers of the Mayflower Compact.  He led or participated in explorations of the region to find a suitable spot for the colony and was among the few to survive the first winter.  Myles learned the language of the local Indians and led several expeditions against hostile tribes.  Myles was a stabilizing presence for the early settlers in the New World.  Rotary equally is a stabilizing force throughout the world with our service projects and leading the charge to eradicate polio.

Yours in Service,

Michael

Last Week's Club Meeting
We received a thank you letter from Neddy Latimer the Executive Director of the Spanish American Center for the food warmer donation that was made possible through a district grant.

We decided to move our Comedy Night fundraiser from April to October to give us more time to plan for the event.

We decided that all members should think about and possibly drive around Leominster to look for a new location for our May Flowers fundraiser event on Saturday, April 30th.

Alley had a great idea about co-sponsoring a Red Cross blood drive due to national blood shortages.  Ellen volunteered to help out as well.  Thank you Alley and Ellen!

Alley will check into the possibility of a Krispy Kreme fundraiser with an online link for coupons.  Thank you Alley!
