This week we had 10 members in attendance in person!
PLEASE NOTE FOR NEXT WEEK - We have a speaker coming from The SHINE Initiative to discuss the ways they are working to de-stigmatize mental illness. We also have another guest, Rotarian John Marchiony from Fair to All Partners will join us and speak very briefly about the Restaurant Sweepstakes. PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND THIS MEETING!
Purchased Rotary T-Shirts in "lemon-lime" to wear during all our club events in the community! I received an email back after the order was placed that they are on back-order, so I don't have high hopes that we'll have them in time for the JA Festival on 9/24. I might suggest that we see if we can all wear the same color shirt in the event that we don't have them in time.
Discussed the reach out script to get participating restaurants on board. Passed around sign-up sheet for members to approach restaurants and get them on board to be a part of our fundraiser. General consensus was that the club would prefer to have FTAP do most of the reach out.
Discussed the Million Dollar Meal! I reached out to Neil to confirm that we can use the patio at the Gardener's Spot on Thursday, SEPT 8th for a pot luck. There will be no morning meeting that day. We will meet at 5pm! Sign up sheet to follow.
Discussed the future of the Dictionary Project. Decided that Joan will reach out to her contacts within the schools that we support and get an idea of their needs. We will then re-visit a literacy project once we have some feedback.
