NEPONSET VALLEY SUNRISE ROTARY CLUB TO HOLD ANNUAL FUNDRAISING DUCK RACE AT RIVERDALE PARK IN DEDHAM ON JUNE 18

The Neponset Valley Sunrise (NVS) Rotary will hold its annual fundraising “Duck Race on the Charles at Riverdale Park” across from the Irish Ale House on June 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. This is a rain or shine event.
 
People can “adopt” a plastic duck for $5.00 (or four ducks for $20.00 and get a fifth for free). Ducks can be adopted online or by mail. Ducks will also be available for purchase several weekends at local food stores and on the day of the race. All who purchase ducks are assigned a number that is written on the corresponding number of ducks adopted. When the duck race begins, all numbered ducks are placed in the Charles River to float to the finish line. The first duck to cross the finish line wins $1,000 cash for the person who bought it. Second cash prize is $500, third cash prize is $250, and the fourth cash prize is $100. You do not need to be present to win.
 
Join us on the banks of the river Charles for a free day of family fun. There will be face painting, food, entertainment, and lots more fun for the whole family. All are welcome! All proceeds benefit the Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club’s charities and programs.
