Charles LeFevre, IV, Executive Director, Family Promise of Western New York, will be the featured speaker at a Rotary Club of West Seneca meeting. This breakfast meeting is Wednesday, May 13, 2015; 7:45 a.m.; Alton’s Restaurant, 2221 Transit Road, Elma. The cost of $10 includes breakfast. For additional information:
The mission of Family Promise of Western New York is to unite religious and other organizations in responding to the needs of homeless families in our community. Uniting hearts and hands, the network provides a way for homeless families to receive temporary shelter, meals, and assistance while seeking their own independence.
It's more than providing shelter, meals and support. It's about keeping entire families together while they work toward having a home to call their own.
Eleven (11) Host Congregations and 30 Support Congregations provide lodging, meals and hospitality for our families in need. Each day begins with breakfast at a Host Congregation, provided by volunteers. At the end of the day, the guests return to the Host Congregation where volunteers provide dinner and support. The evening hours are relaxation times, as they would be for any family. The day ends with the family, together under one roof. Host sites shelter up to three families in its building for one week at a time, four times per year.
We accept families regardless of race, religion, age, or sexual orientation.
Families must be capable of participating in a family environment supervised by volunteers.
Families are accepted into the program during regular business hours. After hours or on weekends, please leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Testimonial -- “My family and I lost our home and had no one to turn to and nowhere to go. Family Promise of WNY was especially helpful during our stay. They never made us feel homeless, just temporarily displaced.
We’re now in our own home and we still have the friendship and support of Family Promise. Family Promise is more than a name. It’s a promise to help your family.”
