OUR MEETING:
John Koch, visiting Rotarian and guest of PDG Art Scialla, spoke on the Gift of Life program in our District. He gave credit to Art for starting the Gift of Life in our district. He noted that his club is thrilled to be hosting the next Gift of Life child from Ghana.
John reflected on the success of our Gift of Life program which, since its inception has saved about 2,000 lives.
John and Dale Susani will be hosting our club’s next Gift of Life child after the holidays. John Susani was the next to speak on how the Gift of Life also does international missions to third world countries to do lifesaving surgeries as well as teaching their surgeons and donation and leaving behind the equipment necessary to do future surgeries on their own.
Vincent Iannaccone and volunteers will serve food at Eva’s Kitchen on Friday, December 23rd from 9:30 until 2 P.M.

The Paterson Rotary Cookbooks are here! Pick one or more up for you and for gifts in time for cooking, baking, and gift giving for Christmas and the Holidays! The books are $15.00 each and feature 291 recipes! They are at PDG John Susani’s office and ready for pick up.
On November 21st the food bags we collected will be delivered in time for Thanksgiving to the Veterans at the Paterson Park Apartments. Our club is proud to sponsor these efforts for our Veterans and thanks to our Paterson Rotarian’s generosity, our Military project continues!
Sandy Bosque is chairing our annual Fruit Sale. The fruits offered are red and golden delicious apples, oranges and grapefruits. The deadline to order is Monday, November 21st.
Fruit will be at the Vander Platt Funeral Home on Ratzer Road, in Wayne, NJ. For pick up. Just pull in and open your trunk, volunteers will put in your car. This is a win-win, you get wonderful fruit from Florida for the holidays, and our club benefits from this fundraiser.

Veteran's from Paterson Park Apartments
Guest Speaker –Gloria Counsellor
Today our Paterson Rotary Club welcomed Michelle Kadell and seven Veterans housed at the Paterson Park Apartments. Gloria Counsellor welcomed them and expressed our gratitude for their service. We are thankful for all of our Veterans who fought bravely for our freedoms here at home.
Gloria spoke briefly about her fond memories of her two tours of duty in The United States Navy.
She then spoke on the origins of Rotary International, and the humanitarian service of the 1.4 million members in 35,000 clubs in 200 countries.
She noted that when there is word of a natural disaster, wars, famine, water shortages,
Rotary is always there first to provide aid and disaster relief. What a remarkable program!
We are thinking for all of our members, family and friends who are suffering an illness or other adversities especially Pat Scialla, Tony Pecci and Gloria Counsellor.
ROTARIAN CODE OF CONDUCT
As a Rotarian, I will:
1. Act with integrity and high ethical standards in my personal and professional life
2. Deal fairly with others and treat them and their occupations with respect
3. Use my professional skills through Rotary to: mentor young people, help those with special needs, and improve people’s quality of life in my community and in the world
4. Avoid behaviour that reflects adversely on Rotary or other Rotarians.
5. Help maintain a harassment-free environment in Rotary meetings, events, and activities, report any suspected harassment, and help ensure non-retaliation to those individuals that report harassment
