TODAY'S SPEAKER

This Meeting's Speaker: Cy Yannarelli The Mustard Seed Children in Santo Domingo...

Cy a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones since 1995, is a graduate of Sam Houston State University (Bachelor's Degree), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).

Mustard Seed Children's (Santo Domingo) Mission: There are thousands of children with disabilities who suffer like you can't believe because there's no place for them to go. Suppose that was you, wouldn't you want someone to come and help? Cy Yannarelli (Mustard SEED Communities Dominican Republic Board Member).

Construction on a second home in the Dominican Republic is presently under construction.

The first building (Hogar Immanuel) consists of one building sheltering (18) children with disabilities. Then and there, Cy made a commitment to help. That was 16 years ago: his dedication has not wavered since.

He enlisted help from a group of dedicated volunteers and donors in Northern New Jersey, these committed supporters raise ove $100,000 each year in cash and deliver crucial supplies to the Dominican Republic Home. For example they provide more than 100,000 adult sized diapers to Hogar Immanuel residents through their community-wide diaper drives.

This team has been a key contributor to their work in the Dominican Republic by securing free shipping for the donated supplies to their home in the Caribbean.
Cy handed out a few flyers for everyone and spoke about the Mustard Seed Children without showing a video, and still he was so interesting to listen to.

DONATION REQUEST
Christmas 2023 - John DeCando (Paterson Animal Control) is looking for donations of Dog & Cat treats for Christmas.

The Great Falls Pantry - requesting donations of Non-Perishable foods.
With almost 27,000 military veterans living in Paterson alone, many of them living under tight financial constraints, this pantry was just what they needed.

Located at 160 Ward Street in Paterson, NJ, the pantry will be open the 3rd Saturday of every month from 9-11 am. Veterans will need to bring proof of service and a tax return in order to shop. Currently, the pantry holds a variety of dry goods and the organizers plan to hold fundraisers in the future to continue to keep the pantry stocked for our vets!

Thanksgiving Food Drive - 2023

We are asking all members to consider donating food for the Veterans, so they can enjoy Thanksgiving. We need rice, gravy, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese, etc. or anything you can contribute. There are 20 families at Paterson Park Apartments. Catholic Charities will provide the turkeys.

Please bring you contributions to John Susani’s office 209 Union Avenue Paterson.

 Food due by November 18.
We will deliver it on Monday November 20. Volunteers needed.  Please click the registration list so we know who will donate and assist with delivery.
