NEXT MEETING:
Bonnie Miele reports that on November 3rd, Veterans will be invited to our luncheon to honor them for Veteran’s Day. Each member is asked to sponsor one Veteran for lunch and sit with them.
DONATIONS NEEDED
We will also be collecting 21 bags of food including turkeys for the 21 disabled and homeless Veterans and their families who reside in the Veteran housing at Paterson Park Apartments complex on East 18th Street in Paterson. The food bags can be brought to our club meeting on November 3rd or to John Susani’s office prior to November 17. The food will be delivered to the families on November 21st in time for Thanksgiving. Our club is proud to sponsor these efforts for our Veterans and thanks to our Paterson Rotarian’s generosity, our Military project continues!
FUNDRAISER UPDATE:
Roberta Farber, chair of the Cookbook fundraiser, reports that the cook book will be available for sale in November to be ready for cooking, baking, and gift giving for Christmas and the Holidays! The books are $15.00 each and feature 291 recipes!
Thank you to all who submitted recipes!
FUNDRAISING:
The Popcorn Fundraiser netted $1,152.00 for our club’s Gift of Life project.
On November 16th the Paterson Rotary Club will be meeting at the Barrow House for lunch. Our Board meeting that evening will take place there as well at 6:00 P.M. In order for Paterson Rotary to get credit for all who attend, attendees must either order online at TheBarrowHouse.com or present the flyer to the server. Barrow House will donate 15% of the total sales to our club.

AAA NORTHEAST
Guest Speaker – Lauren Paterna
Lauren tells us that there are two million AAA members in New Jersey. Besides bringing members towing, tire changing etc. other benefits of membership include discounts on movies, amusement parks etc.
In addition, members have free access to travel agents who aid in trip and vacation planning and travel discounts.
AAA offers Driving Safety programs for teenagers and new drivers, a program for senior citizens to aid them in fitting into their carseats, mirrors, etc., a program on marijuana impaired driving and other safety issues. AAA also offers competitive pricing on auto insurance, and home insurance.
Thank you Lauren for an important update on all the AAA Northeast offers in New Jersey.
We are thinking for all of our members, family and friends who are suffering an illness or other adversities especially Pat Scialla, Tony Pecci and Gloria Counsellor.
