TODAY'S SPEAKER

This Meeting's Speaker:

Our speaker today is John Plunkett.
John tells us about the Blue Crest drug and alcohol rehab center located in Woodland Park, N.J.
The center is six years old and currently serves 130 clients. The center serves people 18 years old and up, who come to them for recovery of their addiction. Phones are answered 24/7.

There are 25 group sessions a day as well as one on one sessions with a counselor.
Each client and their family are made to feel important, respected and loved.
Several programs are available, for example:
A monthly Bereavement Support Group meets on the second Monday of every month from 7:30 P M to 8:30 P M.

Free family nights are on Wednesdays.
Sober living homes are available and can be the transition needed between starting over and staying sober.
Folks are assigned sponsors and outpatient services are offered.
John stressed the importance of the patience, love and understanding required to assist the clients that come to them.
John distributed informational booklets and pamphlets about the alcohol and drug addiction treatment.
Thank you for an enlightening and informative program and discussion.
