Sandy gave us a recap of her trip she showed pictures on the video screen.
The town of LVIV has (9) Rotary Clubs.
The town of Kiev (Capital of Ukraine) (a 7 hour trip) where Heart Surgeries are performed. Dr. Alexander (Head Surgeon) performs a new procedure (instead of breaking the ribs) surgery is performed (under the arm).
Sandy told us many of the Statues were covered with blankets and caged to protect them during the war.
The last part of her visit included Krakow Poland. Thank you Sandy for your volunteerism!
Sandy (Environmental Health Specialist) also spoke about the dangers of Styrofoam - Polystyrene foam contains the chemical styrene, which has been linked to cancer, vision and hearing loss, impaired memory and concentration, and the Nervous System.
Styrofoam in landfills, floats, and a danger to animals who can eat it.
