The Hackensack Rotary awarded three community grants of $1,300 each for the 2021 year!  The recipients are all fabulous local programs making a difference in our community and we are proud to support their causes.
 
CBH Care (Comprehensive Behavioral Health) is a community-based mental and behavioral health service in Hackensack.  We have awarded the $1,300 to create a pleasant outdoor space at their group home.  The space will include seating, a community table, and plants to create an areas that is aesthetically pleasing to be used by residents on a daily basis.
 
BVMI- Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative provides primary healthcare services through volunteer doctors for low income, working, uninsured adults.  The funds will be used to purchase and provide blood pressure and glucose monitors for patients dealing with blood pressure and diabetes.
 
YCS Foundation (Youth Consultation Services) is a NJ based residential care facility for abused and neglected children.  Their Holley Center is located in Hackensack and houses 64 children.  The funds will be used to replace current worn furniture and couches in the common areas of the facility so that the children have a comfortable and welcoming area for socialization and activities.
