Displaying our Country’s flag is affordable, easy and automatic when a person enrolls their home, business or neighborhood association in the Rotary Flag Service program. The Rotary Club of Springfield initiated this rewarding project in 2016. All proceeds allow us to support many important local, national and international projects. The Springfield Rotary Club will come to your designated location and place a pole holder in the ground, properly positioned on your property. All installations are coordinated with JULIE (Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators). An American Flag, along with a solar light, will be placed prior to each scheduled holiday. Subscribe today, and please encourage your friends, neighbors, and local businesses to subscribe as well. A subscription to the Rotary Flag Program makes a great gift. The annual subscription includes the following:
- The flag and light will be installed before the Flag Holidays and retrieved afterwards.
- The flags are stored and refurbished when necessary.
- Flags will be installed for the following holidays and remembrance days in 2018:
- Memorial Day - May 28
- Flag Day - June 14
- Fourth of July - July 4
- Labor Day - September 3
- September 11 Remembrance - September 11.
All of this service comes for an annual fee of only $50.00. Proceeds from this program are used to support our wide range of projects and grants with an emphasis on those that deal with hunger and literacy.
