School Supplies for Ridgely

 

A new school year will soon be starting so it is time for Springfield Rotarians to start thinking of our annual drive to provide school supplies for needy students at Ridgely. We do this through our "back-to-school-sales drive."

 

The procedure is simple. The next time you are out shopping and see school supplies on sale, such as erasers, pencils, crayons, pens, and children’s scissors, books, etc., we ask that you consider buying some for the kids at Ridgely. For those of us, out of touch with current student needs, we have attached a PDF from the Ridgely web site in the downloadable documents section of our website. This document lists what each student is expected to bring. You might want to print it out and leave it in your car for your next shopping trip, or just glance over it to get some ideas. We will have a box at our upcoming meetings to collect the school supplies. The final pick up will be the meeting after Labor Day, when we will deliver the accumulated supplies to Ridgely. Just throw any purchases in your car, and remember to bring them to one of our Club meetings.
