Rotarians Read the Names Of Those Being Honored

Each Rotarian in attendance read off a list of 20 names of individuals whose names had been submitted to be honored. Following the reading of about 170 names, the name of Peter S. Ellis Jr was read in tribute to his passing on Friday. Peter is the brother of fellow Rotarian Steven Ellis. At the end of the ceremony president Barry gave a brief speech about Rotary followed by Donna Libby offering a tribute to all our veterans and especially those that lost their lives at Pearl Harbor so many years ago. Donna's tribute was followed by a moment of silence. Donna closed the activities by thanking everyone for their support for this new Rotary event and reminded everyone that 50% of the proceeds collected from the schools would be donated to the school and Susan let the kids know that a dated commemorative gift bulb / ornament with today's date will be available back at the schools. Nice job everyone.
