Justin's Second Rotary Club Visit

Rain is on the horizon this morning. It's about 8AM. I am on my way over to Fort Lee to make a few calls, and want to return in time to pick up Justin and Dolce and take them to the Rotary at Sally's. Dolce made breakfast for Justin and herself about ten. I got in about 11:30. The kid is ready to devour lunch.

When we arrived at Sally's, Ann was already at the door waiting. She saved seats for us. Christina was there with her son, Christopher, who is getting so big. By the way, Dolce wants to thank you for the toys and gifts. Dolce really enjoys coming to the meetings. She told me to tell all of you that you are beautiful people. The meeting went well and that's because our president Arlene is doing a great job; and the members enjoy a good meeting.

I hope I answered all the questions that were asked by the members. If you have questions that you would like me or Dolce to answer, come on over and stay a spell. I have an answer for Arlene. The host family address for Nahum, is Bob and Florence Marchi, 25 Pursing Road, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632. Their e-mail address is marchif@bigplanet.com . Nahum is going to the hospital with Dr Jim Cole of the Englewood club. I will have room for one more in my car.

I just got off the phone with Bob Poli; he had to tell me about the mail he received today - an order for two boxes of citrus, one orange and one grapefruit, with a check for $538.00.  First glance, he said, looked like a mistake. Marked on the order form was the $38.00 for the citrus and the $500.00 balance was marked "donation". Wow! What a nice donation. More of the special people we meet along the way. It reminded me of the discussion between Jim and Mike at the meeting today about adding a picture or talking to people about our Gift of Life Child. You know that donation was made because of Bob's letter.

I'm cutting out early, as I have to shake this cold.  Another great day!

Yours in Rotary,

John Koch
