The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn has been active in our Fair Lawn community since 1948. You’ve seen our signs announcing the time, date and location of our weekly meetings; you’ve seen the Rotary logo all over town – the new clock in front of the library, the bulletin board in front of the School District Offices; on the “adopt a park” sign at Beaver Dam Park; and inlaid in pavers are Memorial Park and the Arboretum sign on Fair Lawn Avenue as well as other places locally, regionally and internationally.

So who are these men and women that volunteer their time to serve those in our community? Who are these people that travel around the world to fight polio and drive across town to help their neighbors in need?

Our thirteenth installment of this continuing series brings us to Todd N. Malkin, our current Club President.  Todd resides in Fair Lawn with his family and has worked at Columbia Bank for the past 10 years, currently serving a manager of the Special Assets Department.  He joined Rotary as a way to give back to the community in a non-political way and also wanted to show his daughters the importance of helping others in need.  He joined the Club in 2006, looking forward to joining this active, dynamic and friendly group of people.  Todd enjoys the club socials, Dictionary Distribution project, the annual Beefsteak and Tricky Tray fundraiser and the newly created Wine & Paint fundraiser.  This is his second time a Club President, having served in this role in the 2010/2011 Rotary Year; he has also served as Master-At-Arms and continues to be the Club’s voice on the web and in social media as the Publicity Chairperson.

Todd’s interests outside of Rotary include local economic and planning issues, volunteering for the American Diabetes Association and combining his love of photography with hiking, biking and kayaking.  Todd has two photographs published and currently displayed at the Rail yard Tavern right here in Fair Lawn.
