The local club is the hallmark of Rotary INTERNATIONAL; this is where the many international projects Rotarians around the world participate in sprang. The local club is a close group of like-minded individuals working together to make our local and global community a better place.  The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn is one of over 34 thousand local clubs worldwide and is one of two clubs here in Fair Lawn.  For over 60 years many Fair Lawn business, professional and community leaders have come together to help in our backyard.

During the last 60+ years many lifelong friendships have formed while working together as Fair Lawn Rotarians.  We are a club; we spend time with each other at times other than meetings, fundraisers and community events.  We are neighbors and friends that have seen each other’s children grow up, have been there for births, marriages and deaths.  Because we socialize at each other's homes and outside of club activities, we are able to work effectively and efficiently as we seek ways to help those in our community.

Rotarians can be found on every continent providing medical assistance, disaster relief, clean water and proper sanitation, educational opportunities and the eradication of polio.  Fair Lawn Rotarians can be found in our schools, government and local businesses working to solve problems and give back to the community.  Rotary International is able to solve larger global issues, The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn is able to effectively work in our neighborhoods to “Lend a Helping Hand”, to provide schools supplies, scholarships, equipment for emergency responders, dictionaries, equipment to school groups/activities, library books, and much more.  Rotarians address important serious needs locally and internationally, and we have fun doing it as we enjoy each other’s camaraderie.

The Rotary Club of Fair Lawn was Chartered in August of 1948 to provide “Service Above Self” locally and globally.  The Fair Lawn Club is part of Rotary International a global humanitarian service organization founded in 1905 consisting of over 1.2 million individuals in 34,164 Clubs throughout the world.  The local Club level is where it all starts.

Meetings are held every Thursday at 12:15 for lunch and a speaker/program at Caputo's Catering, Fair Lawn Athletic Club, across from the municipal building on Parmelee Avenue.
