THE BEST GIFT OF THEM ALL " GIFT OF LIFE"

MID-BERGEN ROTARY has a special gift this holiday season, the successful surgery of Godwin, our Gift of life Child from the Philippines.

He has been hosted by Ruth and Fred Nebiar since his arrival. His condition was fragile and it has been a very long trip for Godwin. When he arrived he was weak an not able to walk too much but at our Holiday Lunch he was walking and he had an appearance of healthy youngster.  It has been a long journey for everyone involved.

Usually the Child is able to come over, have surgery and go back within 2 months but this time it was very different. Godwin arrived in a very fragile condition and needed to gain weight before the surgery could take place and with great effort by everyone he was finally able to undergo the heart surgery.  Surgery was successful but the recovery was longer than usual due to his condition.  He is able to enjoy Xmas and New Years in America and go back with the best gift one can wish for a "Gift of Life" and Thank you Ruth for all your time and patience.
