Happy Mothers day to all the Mums out there!

Happy Mother's Day to all you awesome Mum's out there!
Our thoughts are with those who can't be with their Mums, for whatever reason .
Our thoughts are also with the ladies who are not able to celebrate Mother's Day but would really love to.

Apology for an error in last week's eBULLETIN

Apology.

In last week's  eBULLETIN you may have noticed a different Banner on the front page.
It sure was, and got there by me accidentally uploading the new draft
of a possible '2020-21 Banner' as a default for use in current publications.
I ticked the wrong box!! The correct banner has now been reinstated.
Sorry if it caused any concern to any of the District Management Team.

Cheers DJ

What's NEW at Rotary under COVID-19

Update on what's doing at the
____________________________________________________________

Having been isolated at home for just a bit too long now,
life has been settling down into a phase of
"not quite sure what we'll do on the other side of these Covid-19 restrictions!"

Not even sure about getting revved up about the football starting up again etc

It must be so hard for businesses to crank themselves up again while certain restrictions
are still maintained and make it really difficult for the right
employee / customer combinations, to make a sustainable workplace.
Now that we have Recovery Step 2 being implemented Monday 1st June
that should make us a little happier.

Meanwhile our Club have been successfully using meetings via our own
Zoom Platform to manage business.
Please refer below for the calendar of meetings we have scheduled to
end of this Rotary Year
They are also listed as 'events' on our website calendar, on the LHS of the front page.

So far, we have had conducted board meetings and combined committee meetings.
Some people have even attended District organised zoom meetings
which have been interesting and fun.

There seem to be many more opportunities available now, to participate in numerous
District forums for Rotary, and all Rotarians are receiving details several times a week.
So if you feel inclined, please take advantage and enjoy them.

REMINDERS
This week we have Committee meetings at 7.30 pm on both Tuesday (2nd) and Thursday (5th) evenings.
We encourage you all to participate in them, relax and don't feel self-conscious about it.

PLEASE NOTE: I am happy to give some operational pointers to anyone who wants it any time.
Maybe at a prearranged time on the day prior to your meeting, to make you feel more confident.
Please phone me on 0427 618 997 to make some arrangement.

Each list of committee members will continue to receive an invitation via email a few days before.
This includes the login link with embedded password for you to join the zoom meeting.

***  ZOOM CLUB MEETING 9th JUNE AND JONAS'S PRESENTATION  ***
We may try a Zoom club meeting on Tuesday 9th June.

It is proposed to have Jonas Hjuler, as our guest speaker to give his final presentation on zoom,
"what his life has been like in Port Lincoln" for the last 11 months.

At the moment it is unclear as to circumstance of Ravendale or other
suitable venue being available, so zooming it is our plan for now!

Jonas is due to fly home to Denmark from Melbourne on Sat 4th July at 2.15 pm
He's off to KI for the long weekend coming up, with his current host family the Schells.
We will hopefully have more detailed info on his departure
from Port Lincoln before the 16th June

SUGGESTION: Log on to the District 9500 website via our own website
and look for "ZOOM Guides and Support."on the LHS of their front page.

We will also be announcing the District Awards.
PDG Sue will assist me with the announcements.
