CALENDAR OF EVENTS At least one of the Committee meetings last week discussed the situation, that there is "no event calendar" on the website. We have been in the habit of detailing events' dates and times on the LHS of the home page of Club's website for more than 3 years, and also each Bulletin has a section "Whats on at Rotary" plus the roster also details for a period of 4 weeks from issue date. To address the issue as wide as possible for members, Colin West has created events which may be of interest to members going forward, but more than a month or so. All you have to do is click on the word 'Calendar' on the upper task bar of the home page, and it will open for the current month. Arrows can take you forward, however far you would like, month by month. If there is an event that any members of consider should be on the general calendar and its not, there please let me or Colin know and we will add the event for you. Please remember that you can ask any questions about the website and access and operation of Dave Gillies, Colin or myself. FACEBOOK PAGE FOR THE CLUB Stockey and I will be meeting with a small company with whom we are dealing, on 21 November to create our own FB page. Back in May 2018 Stockey created the FB Group, "Friends of Rotary Port Lincoln " A FB page, and explained that to a meeting of members soon after. However since that time the only people who have accessed it are the administrators Stockey and myself, plus Jill Stockham, Grace Franco, Di Gillies, Cathy Myers , Pat Callaghan, Malcolm Schluter, Maddy Osbourne, Brian Turvey, Shaun Thomas, El Pablo, and Ask Hestbaek. Just 5 Rotarians!! Either Stocky or myself post items which are of interest to all Rotarians at least once or twice a week, so its up to date info. There may be some info that will not interest you, so let it go through to the keeper, but at least its a way to keep you informed. I think in the new year we must have a training and Q&A night on all these aspects Cheers DJ |
