Tunarama
Rotary Tuna Stall
The Rotary Club of Port Lincoln has traditionally sold cooked Tuna Steaks, a signature dish for the annual Tunarama Festival.
The Tuna Steaks, which are generously donated by local tuna fishermen, are barbecued and sold in order to raise funds for local charities.
Since the advent of Tuna farming in recent years, the quality of the Tuna provided has been exceptional. This is due to the state of the art husbandry, harvesting and storage of the fish that is demanded by the Japanese market.
We have also been selling a new very popular product in Kingfish which is also produced locally.
It is important that we acknowledge the generosity and assistance that we get from local companies. In particular….
- Tony’s Tuna International for the Tuna in recent years.
- Cleanseas for the Kingfish.
- Australian Bight Seafood for the use of their facilities for storage and preparation.
Tunarama Parade Marshalling

Tunarama Float
The Rotary Club of Port Lincoln has for several years entered a float into the Tunarama parade. For the 2013 parade, the Club put forward a ute featuring Rotary Youth Exchange, including our Finnish exchange student Emma Mikkola.
