Olean Rotary Club Signature project is well underway.

The foundation has been pour and pea gravel raked in at the north-east corner of Lincoln Park in Olean and at the intersection of State and Union. The crew from the City of Olean Public Works division has done fabulous work!

The New York State Bluestone from the Pacama Quarry near Albany shipped the stones (base and masterpiece) to Crandall's in Allegany for storage until it is moved and mounted at the site later in May. Stone Artist, Isaiah Rashad II inspects the pieces after they were moved from the trucks.

Initial drafting on the stone and the marking for the front are clear. Isaiah will prepare his templates and be ready to start carving on site. Check out Isaiah's website to watch video and read his vision. http://isaiahrashadii.blogspot.com/p/photos.html

Fund raising efforts are in HIGH GEAR with tax deductible donations gathered through the Olean Rotary Community Improvement Fund at the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation. https://cattfoundation.org/olean-rotary-club-fund/

Watch for details for our major fund raiser on May 23 - the SILENT AUCTION FOR THE SILENT POLICEMAN!
