Stories
President's Pen
Fifteen members and friends of Adelaide Light attended the excellent evening last Wednesday at the Adelaide Oval to celebrate 100 Years of Rotary in Australia and NZ. which was organized by the Adelaide Club and supported by the other nine Rotary and Rotaract clubs of Area 12. The Governor of SA., His Excellency, The Honourable Hiew Van Le AC addressed the gathering and the emcee was the very humorous Rotarian, Tony Pilkington.

This coming Tuesday evening the members of the Community Service Committee are meeting for the first time at the Astor Hotel over a meal to discuss proposed activities for the coming year.

That same evening Richard and Di Jarrett will be attending the RYLA Celebration Dinner at the Glenelg Golf Club. Our club is sponsoring a young man, Sam Alberton.

Next Thursday morning is our fortnightly Coffee Conversation at the White Picket Fence from 9.30am.

A reminder that the Club's Changeover Dinner is on Thursday 1st. July at the Sage Hotel with more details to follow.

This coming Friday evening, 30th. April is the Club's pizza evening at the Wholly Belly, 24 Magill Road, Norwood from 6pm where everyone simply orders and pays for themselves and we will be in a private room in the licenced cafe.  So far 14 Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends have confirmed their attendance, everyone is welcome and I require firm numbers by Wednesday night please. Rob - 0430 930 067

Di and myself are helping Adelaide Parks tomorrow (Sunday, Anzac Day) with their BBQ at Bunnings at Mile End.

The great news for our fundraising is that Bunnings nationally, are recommencing their barbeques on a daily basis and we have been invited to begin our monthly Tuesday BBQ's on 25th. May. Di will be emailing everyone to organize the roster.

Regards,
Rob

The Four Way Test

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it Fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?
  4. Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?

Affirmation

United in the spirit of Service we value truth, fairness and friendship; and we welcome the opportunity that Rotary gives us to contribute our talents and resources in support of others.

Rotary Club of Adelaide Light Mission Statement

To be recognised as the Service Club of Choice in the Eastern Precinct of Adelaide because we are a Friendly Breakfast Club that appeals to a broad range of busy people who want to make a difference to local and international communities.
