Member Information Evening held on 11 May 2016 at the Royal Coach
Miserable weather wasn’t enough to deter 13 guests to join most members and partners at this meeting where we showcased our Club.  There was a good vibe in the room and I think it is fair to say that our guests liked what they saw and heard of our Rotary Stories.
Our signature projects – Soles4Souls and The Colombian Scholarships were displayed and presented by Dalice Kennedy  and Angus Tuck respectively.
John Campbell shared his story of the Rotary Foundation, and Damien Lynch, Rotaract District Representative and member of our sponsored Adelaide City Rotaract spoke passionately about his pathway through Rotaract.
Donations totalling almost $10000 were made to Soles4Souls, The Rotary Foundation and The Colombian Scholarship program. ShelterBOX also provided a display.
What I also observed is that some of those guests have great stories themselves and would make great Guest Speakers into the future. Some have already been touched by Rotary in the past and their experience was positive.
Thank you everyone, especially those who arrived early to set up room with the displays (including our 2 new banners) and ensured the computer and projector were ready and running before the first guests arrived at 6.45pm.
Our next phase is to invite these guests to future meetings with the aim of helping them join us in Rotary and enjoy the best 1½ hours of the week for breakfast with good company and hear great speakers before heading to work.
