The Delphi Rotary Club...

The Delphi Rotary Club received the Presidential Citation Award at the District 6540 Conference, April 30th.  Club president, Dan McCain was in attendance to receive the award presented to the clubs who had met several requirements, including participating in an international as well as community project.

Among the many projects in which the Delphi Rotary Club participated, was a Honduras Water Project with four Rotarians (two from Delphi, one from Flora, and one from Monticello) visiting Honduras to view the project and hand out English/Spanish dictionaries.  They increased membership, sponsored the Legends of Delphi Alumni Basketball Game, awarded monetary scholarships to Delphi students, sent students to the World Affairs Conference as well as the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp.  They constructed a horseshoe pitching court at the Canal Park and they are in the process of completing a literacy project which included being awarded a literacy grant.  These are but a few of the activities the club has taken on in the past year, proving to be one of the most active clubs in the district.

Along with Dan McCain, Ken Lavy, Martin Krutak, and Jack Cross attended the 2-day conference.
