Four Delphi High School students will join 120+ other students from northern Indiana to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp at Camp Tecumseh YMCA!

The Rotary Club of Delphi has selected Loghan Minier, Stefany Mayhew, Stacia Erwin, & Brandon Wilson to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp April 23-25, 2010!

Local students have taken part in RYLA for the last 21 years.  Many have said it is the best leadership seminar they have ever attended because it is so hands-on, not a series of lectures.  Since RYLA attracts participation from students from all across northern Indiana, Delphi students work with young men and women from various ethnic and racial backgrounds.  Participants come from large schools and small schools; rural schools and urban schools.  Interestingly, former RYLA participants have expressed their pleasure at seeing many of the friends they have made at RYLA when they are on college-choice visits later in their high school career.  The bonds made at RYLA last far beyond the weekend itself.

A central focus of the RYLA experience is the concept that each person can make a difference in the lives and well-being of others.  When a person learns to lead and is willing to step out of their comfort zone, they can do much more than before.  RYLA motivates students to do more than they would otherwise.
