This week’s program was on our club’s Honduras Trip in January. The attendees who helped in the presentation were Irma Cole, Julie and Ian Townsend, Michelle Emerson-Lewis, Amanda Walls, Larry Rankin, and Mark Davies. The trip was to La Paz, Honduras. The club stayed at the Honduras Compassion Partners Mission House. Our club donated musical instruments, and school supplies, built a house, pila, and latrines, installed water filters, and painted a school. The families impacted also helped in the building and projects. Our club worked in neighborhoods with very little to no public services and no running water. They concluded the presentation by announcing the date for next year’s trip: February 17 through the 24th. Please consider going on the trip if possible.

President Amanda concluded the program with her word of the week: “la sandia” which means watermelon.
