President Carol opened the meeting and called on Andra Morgan to handle the invocation, pledge and Four-Way Test.
 
 
Don Westerfeld introduced our guests and visiting Rotarians.
 
Happy Dollars were collected by Deedra Knight.
 
 
 
Dorsey Hightower led us in a rendition of “The More We Get Together.”
 
 
Jon Larsen sat at the Head Table this week.
 
Carol shared with us that the recent social and game about being more interesting than a cell phone was a great success.
 
Carol also reminded us to sponsor or sign up to volunteer at our annual big event, Spring Obsession. It’s March 14 this year, and features all things gardening, art and music. Scott Reed has sign-up lists at the back table, so pick your slot.

Carol then brought up Larry Rankin, who presented a banner from the Brandenburg Gate Club in Berlin.
 
 
 
Rick Maxey introduced our program, which was the first round of the annual Rotary Speech Contest. We had one contestant for our Club, who was an amazing young woman named Sophia. The list of all she has done at her young age just about wore out Rick reading it to us. We’ll have the next level with the winners from all the Lakeland Clubs on March 10.
