Laura shared interesting information regarding lifestyles and Habitat for Humanity including their vision and mission, see www.habitat.org. Greater than 1.6 billion people worldwide live in poverty housing and 1 in 6 households pay greater than half of their income for housing. Habitat is not only a builder but a mortgage lender and educator including financial planning. In addition to their ReStores they provide home modification for seniors through CAPABLE.

Beatles Night - Phil Calderbank
Mar 22nd, Phil & Elaine hosted the ‘Beatles Night’. The event was auctioned last year at the Bright Futures Gala and raised $1,100 for the HR Rotary Foundation. Pictured with Elaine are Bob, Debbie, Steve, Janet, Kyle and Jane.
The group enjoyed a nice meal, some Beatles music and then all joined in the evening quiz to hunt for the Yellow Submarine – won by Jane and Kyle. At the end of the evening the group sat down for a Beatles ‘Sing a Long’ session and were entertained on guitar and keyboard by friends Mike Anderson and Curt Knudsen.
