Sustainability is the practice of creating products and structures that can satisfy the needs of the present without harming those in the future and is an authentic way for students to learn. The Sustainability Coordinator works collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff, and students to develop, coordinate, and promote effective sustainability initiatives; Beth shared the numerous projects she is coordinating/participating in Douglas County schools "improving self, community, and schools". Roto Golfers - Marty Genereux
Golf season is upon us and it starts MAY 2!  On Thursday, April 25, at 7:00 p.m. I will attempt to reserve four tee times between the hours of 4 & 5 p.m. at South Suburban Golf Course to accommodate 16 players for our May 2, outing. Each outing (Thursday) will be limited to 16 players or 4 foursomes. As always, a waiting list will be kept if someone cancels.  Side note: Last year we rarely if ever exceeded 16 players per outing. Here’s what YOU need to do if you want to play May 2:  On April 25, email me saying you want to play on May 2, include your name & anyone else you’re signing up for. When signing up, feel free to request a sooner or later tee time.  The sign-up period will be from Thursday to Monday at noon—that gives you 4.5 days to sign up. First come, first served. At noon on Mondays, the sign-up window closes in order for us to finalize tee times with South Suburban. Confused?  Fear not, you’ll be getting an email from me next Thursday and every Thursday thereafter to remind you to sign up for May 2, and the subsequent Thursday’s throughout the summer. Easy peasy. We’re looking forward to picking up where we left off last summer, we hope you are too.  MGenereux317@gmail.com

Join the Rotary Club of Castle Pines for Top Golf May 19th (5-8 pm with 4:30 check-in), sign-up by May 9th, need 6 golfers. $125/person buys you 3 hours of top golf tournament play, prizes, great food, 2 drink tickets & lots of fun! Robbie's Hope 5K Run - Marty Genereux
On Sunday, April 28, Sunrise Club members Bob Stratton, his wife JoAnn and Marty Genereux volunteered for the inaugural Robbie’s Hope 5K Run fundraiser in Golden. Robbie’s Hope is a teen suicide prevention program created by Kari and Jason Eckert, who lost their 15 year-old son Robbie to suicide last October.  Robbie was there is spirit because he delivered a perfect spring day for 329 runners and roughly 40 volunteers.   The event was filled with laughs, camaraderie and healing. Actually, it was a blast!  Bob and JoAnn were course marshals and Marty was the “Pace Car (bike).”
