Now in 2017, we may be closer than ever to constant surveillance of our lives, but Big Brother is a set of corporations, not the government. I will talk a bit about the data that is collected, how it is used, and what we can do about it in today’s day and age." Scott Toney is an assistant teaching professor in the department of business information and analytics at the Daniels College of Business, The University of Denver. He teaches Business Statistics and Analytics to both graduate and undergraduate students. He also trades some of his privacy for convenience, as most of you do… |

Post Polio - What's it Like?
Dec. 14, 2017
email: francister@earthlink.net Original Invite (8/16): Terry: I understand you have spoken to other Rotary Clubs regarding Post Polio. Given how close we are to eradicating polio, this topic might be very appropriate at this time. We meet at noon on Thursdays at the Lone Tree Golf and Hotel.
We have a relatively busy speaker schedule over the coming months. The following dates are available over the coming months; 12/14/17, 1/11/18, and 2/8/18. Please let me know your interest, your chosen date, a short bio, and a 'catchey' title for your presentation.
His Response:
Any of these dates would work. Included a draft of the presentation that I have given. It is focused on Post Polio problems rather than the progress that we have made in Rotary on prevention of Polio. If this is off topic in terms of your expectation. No Problem.

How meaningful is it to have a second (or third) language? - LingoHut!
Feb. 08, 2018
Hello Zig, sorry for the delay in response. I am not much by a computer since I am in the Netherlands promoting our website the old fashion way. Talking with people on the street, going to refugee organizations and speaking to schools. J I look forward to speaking at your Rotary. Thank you for the opportunity to share my Language initiative. I would appreciate the reminder two weeks before. Happy Holidays Kendal. Her is my Bio: LingoHut a global language initiative, where communication brings two cultures together. Kendal Knetemann, a member of the DTC Rotary Club, retired after 27 years teaching Spanish and ESL in the Cherry Creek District. In 2005, she started a company teaching languages to adults via a platform she designed, created and developed. She manages and runs three for-profit websites which help professionals learn a foreign language to enhance and improve their resume and job opportunity. In 2012, she embarked on her latest endeavor to facilitate free language learning to provide opportunities; that was when LingoHut was born. LingoHut is a global language initiative created to help people communicate in a new language. Also have Student of the Month Recognition from Highlands Ranch High School |
