Thank you for your interest in the Rotary Club of Austin North by Northeast. Rotary International is a worldwide membership organization that does community service. The Rotary Club of Austin NxNE is one of the over 46,000 clubs that belong to Rotary International. We are a small, but active club and have been involved in a number of community projects such as volunteering for Central Texas Food Bank, Brown Santa, and the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp. Our biggest service project is Rise against Hunger. Rise Against Hunger is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. Each year, we sponsor an event that packs 10,000 nutritious meals that are shipped to needy areas around the globe. Besides providing volunteers, we also raise funds to contribute to numerous local non-profits – picking a different cause to support each month. Our Foundation also provides scholarships to local high school students. This year’s Rotary Theme is “The Magic of Rotary” and we will be working this year to share the magic of Rotary with our fellow Austinites! Our club meets regularly on Wednesdays for lunch at Casa Chapala Restaurant, 9041 Research Boulevard, Austin, TX 78759 at 12 noon, and our meetings usually feature an interesting and informative guest speaker. Please come join us at one of our meetings to learn more about us and what we do!
Sincerely, Karen Bogisch President 2024-25 |
