Stories
Is your child’s room overflowing or do you have stuffed animals left from a garage sale?
Manton Rotary is accepting donations of new or gently used stuffed animals to be distributed at Project Christmas. Last year we gave needy families over 1,200 stuffed animals for their children for Christmas. If you have any unwanted stuffed animals laying around your house, we would love to take them off your hands. You can drop them off at the offices at Manton Schools or private message me to arrange a pick up. Thank you!
The Manton Rotary understands the importance of reading. To help celebrate March is Reading Month, the Rotary purchased a new book for every kindergartner at Manton Schools. Rotary members Len Morrow, Rich Harmon, Diane Siddall and Jim Sherburne came to the school to read "Splat the Cat, I Scream for Ice Cream", "Moosetache", "Pugs in a Bug", and "Sophie Johnson, Unicorn Expert" to the students.
Manton Rotary member Robert Colvin was chosen 2017 Manton Citizen of the Year.
Bob graciously gives his time to many organizations and we congratulate him on this honor.

Manton Rotary Club collected over 2400 stuffed animals for Project Christmas.

A huge thank you to Manton Schools, Mesick Schools, Oasis, Love Inc, The Barn Social and all the individuals that donated to this worthy cause.

The Rotary gave out over 1500 stuffed animals at Project Christmas, and 150 stuffed animals to the Salvation Army for their Toys for Tots campaign.

Thank you to everyone that volunteered their time, worked on the float or bought chicken at the Rotary's annual Chicken BBQ on September 4, 2017.
We served the community chicken, baked potatoes, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad and yummy cakes.

The float was a big hit too!!
Rich and Len wore their chicken hats and Rich did the chicken dance the whole parade route.
They even shot rubber chickens into the crowd.

The Manton Rotary would like to welcome our new member Josh Perrault

We look forward to serving our community with you!

Congratulations to Rotarian Paul Sawin for receiving the Paul Harris Fellowship Award! The 6290 District Governor Gernot Runschke presented the award to Paul at the August 17, 2016 meeting.

How much do you know about the Rotary Organization?
The Manton Rotary recently challenged their members to see just how much they knew about the Rotary Organization.
The quiz was challenging and but member Chris Ritter stepped up to the challenge by answering the most questions correctly.
Congratulation Chris for being the Most Informed Rotarian.
Thank you to Jerry Ramsey for organizing this fun and informative event.
If you would like to know more about the Rotary, please contact any Rotary member or come to our meetings every Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. at the Northside Restaurant.
