March 24, 2018--Lowell Community Expo
Join the fun and excitement of this annual event by helping spread the word about Rotary. As "People of Action" we have a great opportunity to let the community know how to join in and get connected. The sign-up for volunteer shifts will be distributed at the next Rotary meeting.
May 17-19, 2018--District Conference
Join other "people of action" this spring in Holland at the annual District Conference. There will be parallel conferences for Rotary, Rotaract, Interact, and Rotary Youth Exchange this year.
June 23-27, 2018--Rotary International Convention, Toronto
If you ever wanted to attend a Rotary International Convention, 2018 is the year to do it. Several members of the Lowell Rotary Club are already registered. It should be an exciting time to celebrate being people of action.
Presentation Highlights: Rotary Stories--How I Met My Spouse
We celebrated Valentine's Day by having fellow Rotarians share how they met their spouses. There were lots of laughs, walks down memory lane and fantastic photos of younger versions of these love birds. If you missed out on the fun, ask these great people about the following:
- Jim and Chris--A 250 mile round trip first date and a trip through the corn field.
- Betty and Sam--A blind date during the time when the legal drinking age was lowered to 18 years of age.
- Deb and Scotty--A lost business account, but an amazing relationship found.
- Dick and Nola--A lifelong friendship that began in third grade and coming up on 64 years of marriage.
- Dan and Heather--A persistent young man asks for a date and gets some help from his high school biology teacher.
