This Week:

This week was General Assembly. It has been so long since we met!

If you were unable to attend this week, please let Karen (kmnoreen@gmail.com) know what committee you would like to be on to help support the growth of the club and community!

Grants: The Grants Committee had 1 grant from the Historical Society. They have requested monies for a paper version of the ABCs of Lowell they have been publishing online. Check them out HERE.

Service: 1. Splash Pad: Lowell Township has taken the idea and run with it. John S is still hoping we can contribute in some way.
2. Cherry Creek Pavilion is in need of a fall clean up. It needs to be decided who's job it is, Trails or something a group of Rotarians.
3. Trailer: An idea was presented to purchase a trailer to store the coolers, tents and banners the club owns. John will do some research and bring the the board.
4. Trail Service Station for Bikes: Jeff recommended the club purchase 2 bicycle repair stations for placement on the trails around Lowell. He will research prices and placement with the Lowell Trails group. HERE is an example.

Youth: Amanda held the fort down for Youth Services! The younger groups (Alto, Cherry Creek and the MS) are struggling with finding meeting times. They have schedule changes and COVID restrictions to work around. The HS still meets in the morning with lots of projects planned.

PR/Membership: 1. Alec and Karen will work on a short survey to send out to members on why or why not they are showing up each week and why or why not they are inviting others.
2. It was mentioned that we should consider updating our song books. Phil will look into the new Rotary song book or another option to increase our repertoire.
3. The committee will also work on getting the agenda projected on the screen so visitors and potential members have an idea of what they are getting into!
4. The committee will also look at hosting a meeting on Main Street to reach out to the local businesses.

Have a wonderful week!

Rotary Fact

The 2 hands of Rotary are its members and its money, The Rotary Foundation. Did you know $10 of your annual dues goes to support the Rotary Foundation? A shout out to our club for all they give!
