Theresa Mundt has been working on the raffle. Tickets will be mailed to members. Drawing will be Fallasburg Festival weekend in Sept. Please return all tickets and money to Theresa. Raffle prizes are 1) Condo in Orlando provided by Wendell (Thanks!) 2) $300 cash prize 3) 4 Arrowhead golf course passes
At the 4/15 Evert gave an update about the hospital he helps in Haiti.
Last week, 4/22 we had a program from El Ayudante Honduras. They were awarded an International grant which we participated in to supply water filters. They covered all of their programming which includes medical facilities and school scholarships.
At the beginning of April John Jones and his wife Phyllis passed away. His son, Toby Jones is at 13256 52nd ST SE, Lowell for cards. They also have a son Tim.
The club passed a couple of motions the last couple of weeks. *A grant for FROM of $2,500 was awarded to help with increase need.
*We also passed using Lunch money up to $2,000 to provide meals to 3 hospitals. Miss P will cater.
This week Craig Anderson shared pictures and stories about Rotary in Ladybrand, his home, and the book project he has been working on. He was able to bring 20,000 books back with him to South Africa! 1 Friends of the Library meeting has grown exponentially :D
We had 2 visitors join us this week. Beverly, Craig's mom and Grace Huizinga. Grace is a GVSU professor emeritus. She and her husband have been in the Lowell area for 4 years.
Dawn is trying to gauge interest in ordering Rotary facemasks from Fans In the Stand. If you would be interested please email Dawn (you can reply to the Zoom meeting reminder emails).
The Petosky Rotary is asking if we would like to participate in selling Rotary calendar's again this year. Calendar's are $25 and our club get's $10 for every calendar sold. Please email Dawn if you would like to sell some. We have to order in increments of 5. The calendars will have pictures of actual Rotary clubs, including Lowell.
