Fallasburg Arts Festival 2017

Saturday, Sept 16 & Sunday, Sept 17

10am-5pm

LowellArts invites you to the 49th annual, 2-day festival held in picturesque Fallasburg Park, located approximately 20 miles east of Grand Rapids in Lowell,MI. The event features 100 unique fine art and fine craft booths, food booths, children's craft area, craft demonstrations, and music performed on an outdoor stage. Annual attendance estimates are 25,000.

Fine Arts and Crafts

Talented artists from around the state and the country apply every year to be part of this well-respected event. Artist booths are juried and a broad range of different mediums are represented including jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, glass, fiber, mixed media, wood, painting, drawing, photography, floral, basketry, print-making, and more.

Fallasburg Park is located off Lincoln Lake Road north of downtown Lowell at 1124 Fallasburg Park Drive, Lowell, MI 49331. Lowell is located 14 miles east of Grand Rapids and 1-hour from Lake Michigan and Lansing.

Fallasburg Park

Fallasburg Park is one of Kent County's most beautiful public parks. The 76-acre park is located on the Flat River in Vergennes Township. Two spring-fed streams run through the lower portion of the site, which is scattered with walking trails, picnic tables, children's play areas and spots perfect for relaxing.

On a central, outdoor stage a variety of musical entertainment is showcased both days of the event.

Children's Activities

Children can decorate and take home their own pumpkin and do other fun crafts at the enclosed Children’s Area located next to the park’s playground equipment.

Timeless Craft Demonstrations

Blacksmithing, Beeswax Candle-making, Calligraphy, Fly Tying, Glass Bead-making, Leather Craft, Origami, Quilting, Rustic Furniture, Jewelry-making, Wood Carving, Weaving, Spinning, and other Fiber Arts demonstrations at the pavilion throughout the festival.

LowellArts Members Booth

We are excited to again feature the LowellArts Member Booth at the festival. This is a shared booth space exclusively for LowellArts Members who apply.

Annual Raffle

Enter to win one of over 90 artist-made items donated by this year’s festival artists. Items will be on display at the Information Booth, where you can also purchase raffle tickets on both Saturday and Sunday. Winners are announced at the end of the festival. You do not have to be present to win. The proceeds of the raffle go to support the programs and events of LowellArts.

Volunteer Opportunties

The festival draws approximately 25,000 people over 2-days. Many volunteers are needed to put on a safe and successful event. If you are interested in volunteering, please call the LowellArts office (897-8545) or email info@lowellartsmi.org.
