Featuring our fantastic member of the week, Jim Mason!

Retired-Colonel, US Army, and later Parsons Corporation, Colorado Springs, CO. Mason’s distinguished military service was comprised of worldwide troop assignments with Infantry units, which encompassed command and staff duties.
After retirement from the US Army on 15 October 2005, Mason joined Parsons as a Defense Contractor, providing engineering system analyses and technical consulting in support of integrated ballistic missile defense planning. Mason volunteers throughout his community in various roles. Most significantly as Member/Commissioner Law Enforcement Transparency and Accountability Commission; Member, Citizens Project Board of Directors; Trustee, Leadership Pikes Peak Board of Trustees; Commissioner/Member, Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority Board; and Past President and Director, Colorado Springs School District 11 Board of Education.
Outside the city, Mason also serves as a General Trustee with KNOX College {Galesburg, IL}, Board of Trustees. In recognition of his community activism, in 2015 Mason was awarded the Leadership Pikes Peak’s Community Inspiration Leadership Award. Mason holds a BA in Political Science from Knox College; an MS in Personnel Management from Troy University; a Master of Military Art and Science Degree from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College; and Graduate, U.S. Army War College.
