Happy day 280 of 2021! This calendar year is flying by.
I will be discussing this tomorrow at the meeting but who among you would be interested in learning how to be the club's zoom host one or two weeks per month?
Our Immediate Past President Gullatte needs to be able to engage with the club but he's been so far stuck at the side table hosting our zoom guests every week. No real skills are required except a willingness to learn. Please see me or IPP Gullatte for more questions or to sign up to be in that rotation!
I heard something this past week that so deeply affected me and I thought I should share. How many of us go to the mirror to see how we "look"? What if we instead looked in the mirror and said to ourselves, "how do I FEEL?" Do you FEEL good? Or smart? Or funny? Or loved? Or empowered? Or energized? Or strong? Or courageous? Or happy? Or hopeful? Or kind? Or safe? Or empathy? Or protective? Or oh-so-many other feeling words??
I encourage you to name your feelings when you look in the mirror. Maybe it's your rearview mirror in the car. Name yourself! "I'm happy and smart and loved and grateful." If you start your day with "I'm tired," you can be assured that you will be tired. So why not instead start your day with "I feel outstanding and joyful and grateful and empowered to be my best self." I encourage you to try it. Experiment. There is nothing to lose but so much to gain if it works!
Today's Random Awesome Deed suggestion is to give compliments. Last week we gave thanks for all of the thankworthy things in life. This week tell people what you like about them. Even better, tell someone what about them inspires you! You could completely change their day. (AND it's no accident if your day improves as well!)
Now let's go forth, be great stewards of Rotary and Catalysts of Caring in our Community!
Please be well, be safe, and be kind. There are a lot of people needing just that.
In the interest of remaining transparent to all club members, the nominating committee has been selected and will proceed according to the following bylaws.

We are especially interested in Rotarians who might be interested in the President-Elect position for next year.

If you have bulletin announcements, please email the EXACT WORDING of your announcement to KSaltmarshVoss@yahoo.com by Wednesday at 5 pm. I don't write your announcements but I do make them nice 'n' fancy!
As you're doing your shopping online, did you know that you can support our Rotary Club with every Amazon purchase? Here’s how:
Go to smile.amazon.com (not amazon.com). Amazon Smile is the same company, same account, same password, but the Amazon Smile program gives one half of one percent of every purchase to charity. No, it’s not a lot, but it’s also not nuthin’ (to be exact: about $150 for the Club so far). So again, go to smile.amazon.com
Sign into your Amazon account as you normally would
On the very top left of the page, next to the AmazonSmile logo, are three horizontal bars. Click there for the drop-down menu.
Scroll ALL the way down to “Your AmazonSmile”; it should be the last option right before “Sign Out”; Click on “Your AmazonSmile”
On the right side of the page, click on the “change charity” box under Your current charity (Note: If you are currently supporting another charity, that’s awesome! These instructions are for those who are not doing so. Also, if you have not previously selected a charity, your default option will be St. Judge Children’s Research Hospital.)
Type in Community Service Fund of the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs; click Select
That’s it. You’re all set. Just remember to go to Smile.Amazon.com when you shop from now on.
