Our next social is set for May 18th at Red Leg Brewing Company located at 4630 Forge Rd. We will be working with the same time frame as before (5:30 – 8 ish). This one will be going towards helping out Cougars Care! I spoke with Brent Urban, and he said that they have noticed that a few students are struggling with hunger issues for several reasons, so the group has been trying to provide healthy snacks for them. This usually costs them about $50 - $100/month. Brent has asked us to raise some healthy snacks for them.
Here are some ideas:
-Fruit leathers
-Fruit/Vegetable squeezes
-Healthy granola bars
-Healthy fruit snacks
-Other individually wrapped health snacks
It may be easier to have people donate cash (I would say minimum of $15) or King Soopers gift cards, and then we can go shop for the specific items and give them to Cougars Care. When we are promoting the event, we can give people the choice of what they want to do for their “entry fee.”
