As another month comes to an end tomorrow and June arrives this weekend the Rotary year is wrapping up quickly. Our very own President-Elect Tina Dewey arrived safely in Singapore last week for the Rotary International Convention and we can look forward to an update on her experience next week which I'm sure has inspired her with the Magic of Rotary leading up to her year as President.
Several members enjoyed a wonderful evening mini-golfing at Lost Island for our May Social. Be sure to mark your calendars for June 28th for our final social of the 2023-2024 year at Lumen8 (402 S. Tejon St.) rooftop bar for happy hour from 4:30-7pm. We will enjoy the company and mountain views, and celebrate a successful year!
This week we will be joined by RoseMary Jaramillo, the Regional Director of Central Colorado at the Alzheimer's Association. We are still in need of a few more volunteers for tomorrow's meeting, please sign up to help HERE.
Be sure to RSVP HERE for the June 7th meeting when Dr. Heather Beem with Practical Education Network (PEN) will Zoom in to give us an update on the great work our club has been able to support.
For our June 14th meeting, there has been a special request from speaker Kathryn Orford for those attending to bring a photo of yourself as a baby between the ages of 6 months to 2 years old. This can either be on your phone or as a hard copy. Start looking through those photo albums and bring along a photo to share.
Please take some time to read the bulletin each week and check out our website which has more information about all our events, activities, and upcoming speakers.
Learn about resources in Southern Colorado available and how the local Alzheimer's Association is working to advance awareness of Alzheimer’s, dementia, caregiver needs, and brain health and lead the Alzheimer's Association’s programs and services, many of which are powered by passionate and knowledgeable volunteers.
